A House Republican wants President Trump to back off his attacks on GOP senators.

"You're not going to bully United States senators, this isn't 'The Apprentice,'" Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., told the Associated Press. "You can't look at them and say 'you're fired,' you're going to need their vote and you oughtta remember that they're going to be at the table in every major deal you need for the next three years. So I just don't think that's a productive way to proceed."

Trump has lashed out at several Republican senators, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell being one of the president's most recent targets after Republicans failed to pass a healthcare bill in the upper chamber.

Sen. Jeff Flake and Trump have publicly traded barbs.

Trump warned Congress in a speech Wednesday not to block is tax reform push.

"I don't want to be disappointed by Congress, do you understand me?" Trump said. "I think Congress is going to make a comeback. I hope so."
