White House reporters claimed today that President Obama has been less transparent than George W. Bush, but White House press secretary Jay Carney said they're wrong.

"Anyone here can tell you that there's less access than under the Bush administration," CNN's Brianna Keilar told Carney during a conversation about whether the White House press office gives reporters and photographers enough access to the president.

"Did you cover Bush?" Carney countered, as if he expected to be able to inform Keilar that she didn't know what she was talking about.

"I did," Keilar replied.

"Do you acknowledge that this White House has provided less access than previous White Houses?" ABC's Jonathan Karl asked a few moments later in the press briefing.

"I completely reject it," Carney replied.
