Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs admitted on NBC's "Meet the Press" today that 2013 was obviously the worst year of President Obama's presidency so far, tackling a question Obama himself dodged during his news conference Friday.

"No doubt about it. I would say that this is the worst year of his presidency," Gibbs said, pointing out that it was worse than even 2011.

But Gibbs noted that president might enjoy better approval ratings in 2014, especially if the economy continued to improve.
