Rosie O’Donnell tried to bribe two Republican senators into voting against the GOP’s tax reform bill late Tuesday.

O’Donnell offered Sens. Jeff Flake and Susan Collins $2 million in cash via a tweet hours before the Senate narrowly passed the bill.

“So how about this i promise to give 2 million dollars to senator susan collins and 2 million to senator jeff flake if they vote NO,” she wrote. “NO I WILL NOT KILL AMERICANS FOR THE [SUPER] RICH. DM me susan DM me jeff no shit 2 million cash each.”

In a later tweet, she told Collins to call her if she wants “to negotiate.”

Collins and Flake both voted for the bill, which was passed in the Senate early Wednesday.

Offering money to public officials try to influence official acts is illegal, which can be punishable with a fine and/or imprisonment.
