“The Republican Party wants a new base,” says Rush Limbaugh in a new interview with Fox News’ Greta van Susteren. In a one-hour session, Limbaugh tells van Susteren that as a conservative, he has found himself increasingly in conflict with the GOP leadership, which he says is more and more dominated by elite interests.

“They’re not particularly crazy about conservatives,” Limbaugh says of Republican leaders. “I mean I — I’m a fairly prominent media conservative.  I get more grief than the Taliban gets.  I get more grief than al Qaeda gets.  And all conservatives do.”
