“Saturday Night Live” opened with a parody of “A Christmas Carol” this week, with the ghost of former national security adviser Michael Flynn visiting President Trump.
Mikey Day, playing Flynn, tells Alec Baldwin’s Trump that “it’s time to come clean for the good of the country.”
“I’m Michael Flynn, the ghost of witness flipped. Mr. President I’m here to warn you, it’s time to come clean for the good of the country,” Day says. “This is serious, sir. The FBI got to me.”
“If only somebody had warned me about you,” Baldwin responds, referring to former President Obama warning Trump not to hire Flynn.
Trump is then visited by other ghosts of the past, present and future.
The ghost of Billy Bush, played by Alex Moffat, reminds Trump of the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump brags about grabbing women’s genitals without permission.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, played by a shirtless Beck Bennett, tells Trump not to bring down his own presidency.
“Donald, you can’t hide from me,” Bennett says. “We put a lot of work into you, so much time and money, and you’re about to mess it up.”
In a surprise twist, Trump is visited by Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton as the ghost of his future.
“You Donald, have given me the greatest Christmas gift of all. Sexual gratification in the form of your slow demise. You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to say this: LOCK HIM UP!”
