Former FBI Director James Comey said in an interview set to air Sunday that he doesn’t know if President Trump engaged with prostitutes in Moscow, the most shocking element of the infamous dossier written by Christopher Steele.
Comey said when Trump asked him to investigate the reports that he interacted with prostitutes while he was in Moscow in 2013, Comey said he thought it was a bad idea.
“I said to him, ‘Sir, it’s up to you, but you want to be careful about that because it might create a narrative that we are investigating you personally. And second, it’s very difficult to prove that something didn’t happen,’” Comey said, recalling his discussion with the president regarding the allegations.

The fired director of the FBI said he had an out-of-body experience at the briefing where the reports were brought to Trump’s attention.
When asked if he thought the Moscow incident actually happened, Comey said he was unsure.
“I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I don’t know whether the current president of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013,” Comey said, citing the “golden showers” referenced in the dossier. “It’s possible, but I don’t know.
The full interview with Comey, which is the first since he was fired, will be aired Sunday.
