Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, Hollywood’s drama couple, parachuted into Washington over the weekend with an unexpected shock: the duo were “normal.”
As the surprise guests at the popular annual Christmas party thrown by power couple Ron and Sara Bonjean, the Spellings fit right in, posing for pictures and delivering more compliments than they received.
Tori Spelling even indulged in one of the features at the party, a star flake ice “luge” that vodka is poured down. She wrote on Instagram, “#ISNUCKINALUGE.” And it wasn't a quick hit for the couple: they stayed until 2:30 a.m.
On social media posts from media and political guests at the party, the Spellings were described at “unexpectedly normal” and “sweet.”
That time I met Tori Spelling IRL and she complimented me on my eye shadow and rented top. She’s so unexpectedly normal. Dean too! .#starstruck c/o #BonjeanChristmasParty pic.twitter.com/CH5AnbzBeQ— Emily Miller (@EmilyMiller) December 10, 2017
The party always features a “special guest,” but many at the soiree said this year’s choice of a woman was particularly symbolic given the harassment scandal sweeping Washington and Hollywood.
