Charlize Theron, a native of South Africa who founded the Africa Outreach Project, spoke at a congressional briefing on AIDS on Thursday morning. The actress, who is slowly growing out her hair after shaving for "Mad Max: Fury Road," sported a cute pixie cut. She spoke about ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic alongside UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe and South African Minister of Finance Pravin Jamnadas Gordhan to a group that included House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other lawmakers. President Bush's former speechwriter, Michael Gerson, representing the ONE Campaign, moderated the event.
