Late-night comedians reimagined White House chief strategist Steve Bannon's exit from the Trump administration Thursday, as part of a sendup of President Trump's rally in Phoenix earlier this week.

"Steve, you look great," frequent "Saturday Night Live" guest Alec Baldwin, reprising his role as Trump, said to Bannon on NBC's summer spin-off, "Weekend Update." "Sorry to see you go."

"You've only made me more powerful," Bannon, dressed as the Grim Reaper, responded.

Baldwin told the audience Bannon would be returning to Breitbart News as its executive chairman, "where he will be fighting the good fight against globalist cucks ... like my son-in-law, Jared."

"I'm going to crush you," Bannon replied.

Bannon was ousted from the administration earlier in August after eight months on the job, which capped off a period of upheaval in which Trump lost his chief of staff, his press secretary, his communications director and several national security advisers.
