J.J. Abrams has already worked his magic on revamping the "Star Trek" franchise, and now it appears he'll be working the same magic on "Star Wars." A source told The Hollywood Reporter that Abrams is in negotiations to direct the next film in the "Star Wars" franchise. Another told Deadline "It's done deal with J.J." Abrams had come out earlier saying he wasn't intersted, but it appears as if he has gone back on that. Disney is yet to confirm the hire. The next installment in the Trek franchinse, "Star Trek Into Darkness" is due out in May. The next Star Wars movie is set for 2015. Michael Arndt is writing the screening play for Episode VII. Arndt is the screenwriter for Novermber's "Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
