One running back surges, two falter, and a pair of familiar faces make late runs:

1A. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas » It took a while, but McCoy finally had his vintage Heisman performance in a 49-39 win over Texas A&M, throwing for 304 yards and four TDs and running for 175 yards and another score.

1B. Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford » The senior workhorse, attempting to become the first Stanford Heisman winner since Jim Plunkett in 1970, rumbled for 205 yards and three TDs in Saturday's season finale against Notre Dame.

2. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida » Playing against a porous Florida State defense, the 2007 Heisman winner had his best statistical game of the season, completing 17 of 21 passes, throwing for three TDs and running for two more.

Also » 4. Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama • 5. Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State • 6. C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
