What'd I miss? [update] DCU/MD moved to Tuesday

Actually, not much, if you're on my twitter feed -- twitter.com/craigstouffer -- because there you'll see that D.C. United's news was all there: that defender Mike Zaher was let go and that United president Kevin Payne said the list of stadium sites in Maryland is down to three.

I bailed a little early on training in order to help get our new intern set up to write a story, and so I only just found out about United picking up 6-foot-4, 23-year-old Canadian defender Dejan Jakovic. Hmmm. Kyle Veris wasn't in practice today, and one wonders about the plans for Mamadou "Futty" Danso and Anthony Peters. Calls have been placed to find out. Perhaps we'll see on Sunday vs. Maryland.

UPDATE: Just heard from DCU GM Dave Kasper, who said that first, Veris is done, United isn't pursuing him anymore. Second, the scrimmage vs. Maryland at College Park has been moved to Tuesday due to adverse weather conditions expected on Sunday.
