Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb warm up before Monday night's game at FedEx Field.

End of 1st: Eagles 14, Redskins 0

1st Qtr | 2nd Qtr | 3rd Qtr | 4th Qtr

» Andre Carter got sucked inside on the reverse, but we’re talking just a couple steps. Not sure it would have mattered. LaRon Landry also got caught inside. But the real difference was DeSean Jackson. The Redskins have no one with that sort of explosiveness. The Redskins don’t have anyone who can make a team pay that way.

» And how about Jeremy Maclin blocking Carlos Rogers? Should that happen?

» Sherm Lewis is trying to get Jason Campbell into a rhythm early, hence the early easy throws to the tight end. Smart move. Jim Zorn has done that, too. But not always.

» I like how the Eagles faked to the left then threw back right to Jeremy Maclin at the line of scrimmage. They got the defense moving to its right, giving Maclin cutback lanes on the other side. It led to a 16-yard gain.

» So much for rhythm; Campbell has no rhythm and is off on his throws, at least that was the case on the second drive. He’s had enough time (for now).

» One step of lost contain and Jackson runs 29 yards on a punt return. The kid has a tremendous burst.

» I love Kedric Golston’s effort.

» The Redskins have used Mike Sellers as a tight end on the left side at least three times in the first quarter, helping out Stephon Heyer.

» Yikes. Getting ugly already. The Eagles overloaded the Redskins’ right side and Washington threw that way; too much congestion that way and it led to pressure and the tip.

» The Redskins have no offensive speed, save for Santana Moss, and he is not as dangerous with his speed as Maclin and Jackson.
