United trades for ex-Terp Burch

WASHINGTON — D.C. United acquired former Maryland forward Marc Burch, right, from the Columbus Crew in exchange for a 2008 third round supplemental draft pick. The six-foot, two-inch Burch, who was drafted originally by Los Angeles,played in seven games for the Crew last year. He scored the game-winning goal in the Terrapins’ 2005 College Cup final win over New Mexico.
