Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon suggested that President Trump turns to the New York Times as a news source more often than he may like to admit.

Calling Trump an "accommodationist," Bannon said during an interview with Vanity Fair that his former boss reads reads the New York Times and has a "tendency" to "always get" White House correspondent Maggie Haberman.

Though Trump has given interviews with the Times during his presidency, he has often railed against the outlet, saying it is “failing” and “fake news.”

Bannon suggested that the president doesn’t understand new media and that he prefers to read his news in print rather than online.

“He doesn’t go online. That’s a huge thing. I mean Orrin Hatch goes online! Trump reads printouts," Bannon said. Hatch is an 83-year-old Republican senator from Utah.

Trump is also a self-professed fan of Fox News as a TV news source.
