Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., apologized to a female reporter today after he dodged one of her questions by calling her “very attractive” when she asked about the DNA test disproving his paternity of another young woman.

“Just asked Rep. Cohen about the paternity test developments and he told me: ‘You’re very attractive, but I’m not talking about it,’” RCP’s Caitlin Huey-Burns tweeted.

“In response to previous tweet, Rep. Cohen came up to me to apologize if he offended,” she added about 15 minutes later. “Said its a difficult&personal time for him right now.” (sic)

Huey-Burns approached Cohen because the woman Cohen ”has been claiming is his out-of-wedlock daughter is not, according to a paternity test revealed on Thursday,” as Politico noted.
