Sen. Susan Collins, a centrist Republican from Maine, criticized President Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement, one of the few GOP lawmakers so far to speak out against the move.

"Climate change requires a global approach," Collins said on Twitter. "I'm disappointed in the President's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement."

Collins said on her website that she "has worked to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, spur the creation of green energy jobs, and reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil – while retaining important American manufacturing jobs".
