D.C. police are on the lookout for a suspect in an armed carjacking that took place Saturday evening in Southeast.

The 5-foot-9 man -- described as having dreadlocks and wearing a black ski mask, grey shirt and blue jeans -- approached a vehicle with a gun around 6:40 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Wayne Place SE. The man knocked on the drivers window, showed the gun and said, "Get out of the car." The driver complied.

The suspect drove off with the victim's 2003 Mazda 6.
