Ted Cruz began a pre-arranged filibuster on the Senate floor at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday in an attempt to convince Democrats and Republicans to vote against voting to proceed on a continuing resolution to fund the government. His anti-Obamacare filibuster failed to make the front pages of America's largest newspapers.

Below is a selection of front pages from the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.

Cruz's filibuster was joined at varying points by senators such as Marco Rubio, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Pat Roberts, and Tim Kaine.
