Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Heritage Action held a town hall Tuesday night in Dallas, Texas to promote the campaign to defund Obamacare.
As two men stood up to protest Cruz’s speech, the crowd stood and chanted USA until they were escorted out of the room.
Cruz noted that he agreed with the two men, noting that everyone should have health care.
“They should have health care and Obamacare is causing more and more people struggling to climb the economic ladder to lose their healthcare,” he explained.
Cruz called the two protestors “Astro-turf” or “Fake grassroots.”
“You know, President Obama’s ‘Reorganizing for America’ is trying to pay people to pretend that the grassroots are with him,” Cruz noted, reminding the crowds that his supporters outnumber the protesters every time.
