Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, reacted to President Obama's comment about how the scandal surrounding the Internal Revenue Service had “not even a smidgen of corruption.”

"When the president goes on Fox News and says there is not a smidgen of corruption, it's like he's laughing at the impartial administration of justice," Cruz said in an interview on Fox News with host Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday night.

Cruz criticized the White House for delaying the investigation into the IRS practice of going after Tea Party political groups and appointing a major Obama donor to investigate the situation.

"It's an abuse of power and just this weekend, President Obama went on with your colleague Bill [O']Reilly and grinned in the camera and said there is 'not a smidgen of corruption' and I guess he knows this because his Obama donor made sure that the investigation did not uncover the truth," Cruz said.
