Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, celebrated the decision made by House Republican leaders to pass a continuing resolution to defund Obamacare in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity Wednesday night.

Cruz said that the decision was a big victory for the American people and that the ball was now in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's court.

It was time for Republicans, Cruz added, to take a stand against the unpopular health care law.

"I guarantee you one thing, Mike and I are going to fight with every breath in our body," Cruz said. "As Churchill said, we will fight on the beaches, we will fight in the streets, we will fight at every step to stop the biggest job killer in America."

The two conservative senators insisted that President Obama and Senate Democrats wanted to shut down the government to save Obamacare.

"If they are willing to say to the American people, look because you want to defund Obamacare, even though you are willing to fund everything else in government, you're going to shut down the government?" Lee asked. "I don't think they're going to win that fight."
