Prince George's County police have arrested a Northeast D.C. teen who is suspected in the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Chapel Oaks.

Derrick Anthony Wills, 17, is being charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, theft and armed robbery, police said. He was being held without bond Friday.

Tuesday afternoon, Wills allegedly approached the 16-year-old in the 1200 block of Nye Street and demanded his cell phone. After the victim refused, Wills shot him in the arm, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition and was later released.

On Thursday, police went to 50th and Nash streets NE and found Wills with the victim's cell phone, they said. Police have also recovered the gun used during the incident.
