A 15-year-old boy who was allegedly seen by a television crew hitting another high school student -- just as the victim was to be interviewed about bullying -- has been charged with assault, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Preston Deener, a 15-year-old Brunswick High School sophomore, was about to be interviewed by the crew about bullying on Monday when three other students chased him across a street, and one teen struck him in the head, according to media reports. Part of the incident was caught on tape.

The alleged attacker, a 15-year-old Brunswick resident, was charged with second-degree assault following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said they believe the assault was an isolated incident and is not related to any other cases of bullying involving Deener.
