On Nov. 4, Cazares-Perea stabbed another man on the 8300 block of Larchwood Street in New Carrollton after an argument over a picture that had been posted on the Internet, authorities said.

Man falls from Ballston parking garage

A 40-year-old man fell about 35 to 40 feet from the parking garage at the Ballston Common Mall on Monday, police officials said.

Based on an investigation, police believe the man was driving and struck another vehicle. In an effort to flee the scene, the man exited his vehicle and went to jump over the edge of the garage, Arlington police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. The man caught himself and was hanging over the ledge for a moment before falling to the ground and hitting his head on the sidewalk.

The man sustained head injuries and potentially has internal injuries because of the distance he fell, Sternbeck said. He was taken to a hospital. Charges are expected against the man in connection with the alleged hit-and-run.
