For Dennis Rodman, the cost of friendship with Kim Jong Un is a feud with the Time, and we don't mean Prince's rival band in "Purple Rain."

Fresh off his trip to North Korea, the basketball great was kicked, er, escorted out of the Time Hotel in New York City after causing a pro-communist scene at the hotel's bar.

"He kept saying what a nice guy Kim is, and how Kim just wants to talk to President Obama about basketball," a spy tells the New York Post. "He was waving around a signed copy of the dictator's huge manifesto, telling everyone they should read it."

Instead of forming a line to read the book one at a time, bystanders just got annoyed. "Dennis was making a total jerk of himself," the Post source says. "He wouldn't leave, and he wouldn't let anyone talk to him about shutting up, or what an oppressive country North Korea is. Eventually he had to leave the bar because the bartender was starting to get [bleep]ed-off."

Dennis, frustrated by how little success he was having with his re-education campaign, headed for the communist-friendly environs of the Downtown Marriott.
