"Daily Show" host Trevor Noah spoke of the "karma" that was on display "all over America" in assessing what was widely seen as a major Democratic victory in state and local elections across the country.
After showing a video of a man walking his dog and crossing a street angrily while gesturing at a driver before crashing into a poll, Noah said, "last night that basically happened all across America."
"Incumbents were defeated for the very thing they were being dicks about," he added.
Noah went on to point to examples of "karma" prevailing in contests in New Jersey, Montana and Virginia, the last of which pertained to Democrat Danica Roem, who was elected as Virginia's first openly transgender lawmaker, defeating an incumbent candidate who sponsored an anti-transgender bathroom bill.
