Following a relatively peaceful few weeks between Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly, the GOP front-runner appears to be looking to reignite the fire.

Trump went after the Fox News primetime host late Tuesday, telling the journalist to "get a life" for the amount of negative coverage she gives his campaign.

The Manhattan real estate mogul also retweeted his followers' attacks on Kelly and fellow Fox News' personality Brit Hume. Trump claimed the two voiced doubts that if selected as the party's nomination he could go on to beat Hillary Clinton.

Trump and Kelly first butted heads last August during the first GOP debate when Kelly, a moderator, asked Trump if he possessed the "temperament" to be president, quoting instances in which he has referred to women as "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals." Trump hit Kelly back the following day in a CNN interview.

Fox News has defended Kelly's question and how she has handled the persistent attacks over the past six months.

Trump is ranked first in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings.
