President Trump called Camp David a "very special place" after spending his first weekend at the presidential retreat.

"Camp David is a very special place," Trump tweeted Sunday evening. "An honor to have spent the weekend there. Military runs it so well and are so proud of what they do!"

Trump usually spends weekends at properties he owns, like the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., and the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.

The president was joined at Camp David by first lady Melania Trump, son Barron and Melania Trump's parents.

Trump returned to the White House on Sunday. Asked by reporters how he liked Camp David, the president said it was "incredible," "beautiful" and "very nice," according to a pool report.
