President Trump credited himself late Tuesday for causing a runoff in a special election for the congressional seat that Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price vacated to join the administration.
"Despite major outside money, FAKE media support and eleven Republican candidates, BIG 'R' win with runoff in Georgia. Glad to be of help!" Trump tweeted.

Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff was up against ten Republicans in the Tuesday election. Ossoff was required to secure 50 percent of the vote or face a runoff.
In the days leading up to the election, Trump called for Republicans in Georgia to rally around the GOP candidates. The race is seen as an indicator of how the 2018 congressional elections could go.
