President Trump said Monday that the media eventually "will be forced" to focus on his administration's accomplishments, instead of continuing what he has called unfair coverage.

"At some point the Fake News will be forced to discuss our great jobs numbers, strong economy, success with ISIS, the border & so much else!" Trump tweeted Monday while at his golf resort in Bedminster, N.J.

Trump's tweets were the focus of the weekend news cycle after he said CNN "has finally been exposed" as "garbage journalism." He later shared an altered video that showed him tackling a CNN character in a Wrestlemania skit.

Trump also said on Sunday that the "dishonest media" would not prevent him from carrying out his agenda.

The continued attacks on reporters soaked up much of the discussion on Sunday morning news shows.
