President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak by phone on Tuesday, the second touch base between leaders since January.
Trump is scheduled to speak with Putin at 12:30 p.m. from the Oval Office though it's not clear what will be discussed. After the call, Trump will talk with national security adviser H.R. McMaster.
The two men last spoke in April when Trump called Putin to express his condolences following a terrorist attack in Moscow.
Putin's adviser Dmitry Peskov told ABC's "This Week" last month that Trump and Putin should "meet each other and exchange views."
In late January, Trump and Putin spoke about both countries' dedication to fighting international terrorism.
"The positive call was a significant start to improving the relationship between the United States and Russia that is in need of repair," the White House said at the time.
