President Trump on Wednesday announced his picks for U.S. ambassadors to Canada and Costa Rica.

Kelly Knight Craft, a billionaire Republican donor from Kentucky, has been named ambassador to Canada. Craft's fortune comes from her family's coal business.

In 2007, Craft was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as a delegate to the United Nations. Trump is currently looking to reshape the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Trump has also tapped Sharon Day, a GOP committeewoman from South Florida, as ambassador to Costa Rica. She has served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee since 2011.

Both nominees will have to be confirmed by the Senate.
