President Trump will meet with top House and Senate leaders in both parties next week, GOP aides told the Washington Examiner.

The topics are likely to include emergency federal funding for flood-ravaged Texas as well as impending deadline to fund the government. Both will require bipartisan support.

The current fiscal year and its funding end on Sept. 30.

Congressional GOP lawmakers representing Texas, including Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, said the House and Senate would immediately begin work on a supplemental funding bill to help Texas deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
