President Trump will visit Polish President Andrzej Duda in his home country before going on to attend the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany, during the first week of July, the White House announced Friday evening.
"The visit will reaffirm America's steadfast commitment to one of our closest European allies and emphasize the Administration's priority of strengthening NATO's collective defense," the office of the press secretary said in a statement. "The leaders will discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues, deepening an alliance based on shared values and common interests."
Trump is also expected to deliver a "major" speech while in Poland and attend the Three Seas Initiative Summit.
The trip will be the Trump's second as president, following his May excursion to the Middle East and Europe.
