President Trump bashed Democratic lawmakers Monday for attempting to create a universal, single-payer healthcare system for Americans after they were successful in blocking Republicans from rescinding and remaking Obamacare.

"The Democrats are pushing for Universal HealthCare while thousands of people are marching in the UK because their U system is going broke and not working. Dems want to greatly raise taxes for really bad and non-personal medical care. No thanks!" Trump tweeted Monday morning.

Republicans were unsuccessful after multiple attempts to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama's signature domestic achievement, which has given Democrats a chance to consider what progressive reforms can be tied into the law. But they did manage to eliminate the penalties assessed against people who fail to buy health insurance, which most agree is a serious blow against the law.

Democrats' next healthcare ideas include single-payer, government-run care and new insurance plans that are funded through Medicare or Medicaid.

Thousands of people marched in London Saturday and called for additional funding to Britain's National Health Service.

Trump on Monday also issued a show of thanks to Fox News' "Fox and Friends" for its coverage of his administration.

"Thank you to @foxandfriends for exposing the truth. Perhaps that’s why your ratings are soooo much better than your untruthful competition!" he wrote.
