President Trump offered a brief explanation on Twitter about his changing chance on calling China "a currency manipulator."

"Why would I call China a currency manipulator when they are working with us on the North Korean problem? We will see what happens!" Trump tweeted Sunday morning.

It's the first time Trump has commented on North Korea since the country's failed missile launch Saturday.

Trump broke a campaign promise vowing to label China as a "currency manipulator" on his first day in office.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump said Wednesday he would not officially label the country as such because it would hurt negotiations between the U.S. and China over North Korea.

Shortly after his tweet on China, the president wished his Twitter followers a "Happy Easter."
