President Trump's approval rating remained in the low 40s this month, as a majority of American voters described him as "reckless" and "sexist," according to a Morning Consult/Politico survey released Wednesday.
The Oct. 19-23 poll found 42 percent are happy with Trump's job in office, which is a 1-point drop from September but still relatively high for Trump's time in office. However, the majority of voters, 53 percent, do not approve of Trump's performance.
Fifty-six percent said Trump's administration is running chaotically compared to 36 percent who believe it's operating smoothly.
The majority of voters think Trump is reckless (56 percent) and thin-skinned (52 percent), and half think he is sexist.
Only about a third of voters agree when asked if Trump is a "strong leader," "honest," "compassionate," or "stable."
The online survey was taken among 1,988 registered voters and had a 2 percentage point margin of error.
