Donald Trump's lead atop the Republican presidential field has ballooned to 33-points nationally, according to a new poll.
According to a new CNN/ORC International poll released Monday morning, just one day before Super Tuesday, Trump won 49 percent of the vote among registered Republican voters. His next closest competitor, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, won 16 percent.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is in third with 15 percent, and Ben Carson (10 percent) and John Kasich (6 percent) follow distantly behind.
Since the last poll in late January, Trump and Rubio have each gained 8 points apiece, while Cruz has lost 4.
Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Wyoming all cast ballots on Super Tuesday.
