President Trump's social media director Dan Scavino announced that he plans to serve on the president's staff, amid a White House administration shake-up on Friday.

"I plan on continuing to serve and report directly to President @realdonaldtrump at the @Whitehouse, as I've done since 1/20/2017," Scavino tweeted on Saturday.

After the appointing of Wall Street hedge fund manager Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House communications director on Friday, press secretary Sean Spicer resigned.

During Friday's White House press briefing it was announced that deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders would be taking over for Spicer.
