There are at least two factors that help mitigate President Trump's compulsive tweeting habits, according to a report on Wednesday.

Advisers say keeping Trump occupied is the best method of keeping him off Twitter, the New York Times reported, citing Trump's recent overseas trip as an example. While Trump's daily schedule was usually packed with meetings with world leaders and other events, his presence on Twitter during that nine-day period was relatively nonexistent.

Another factor in keeping Trump off the Twitter pulpit was being with his wife Melania, who accompanied him on his trip to the Middle East and Europe, aides said.

With Trump back at the White House and Melania still residing in New York City with son Barron Trump as he finishes the school year, Trump is now back to his former tweeting ways, reprising "Crooked Hillary," calling the Russia investigation a "witch hunt," and creating a new Internet meme with a misshapen tweet featuring the nonexistent word "covfefe."
