A presidential lawsuit could be on the way by the end of July.

Speaker of the House John Boehner announced last month plans to sue President Obama for his use of executive actions to circumvent Congress and not "faithfully executing the laws of the country."

Now Boehner is doubling down, saying in an op-ed Sunday for cnn.com that the House would vote later this month to authorize a lawsuit, adding, "I don't take the House legal action against the President lightly."

Some — including Obama himself — have called Boehner's lawsuit nothing but a political stunt, timed conveniently before the 2014 midterm elections this November.
