Lots of people love New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, but few pundits have as great an attraction to him as MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and the "Morning Joe" crew.
Here is a highlight reel of the political pundits on the show this morning marveling about Christie's re-election and what it means for his future as a presidential candidate.
Politico's Mike Allen pointed out that Christie was "a winner" and "effectively the leader of the Republican party."
MSNBC's Chris Matthews marveled at Christie's ability to bring out Reagan Democrats, pointing out that Christie acted like a real person with blood in him.
"There is, like, testosterone coming out of every pore of his body, and I can't wait to see in Iowa and New Hampshire some Tea Party type calling him a liberal and Christie reaching down the guy's throat and pulling his lungs out," noted Charlie Cook of the Cook Political Report. "I can't wait to see that. I will pay money to see that."
Other guests on the show marveled at Christie's attitude and toughness, which they predicted would carry him successfully in the 2016 presidential race.
Scarborough compared Christie's re-election win to campaigns waged by Ronald Reagan to Bill Clinton to Richard Nixon, pointing out that in spite of criticism from hardline conservatives, he is "a political athlete."
