More people plan to vote for Democrats this November, despite waning approval for President Obama.

In a Fox News poll released Friday, 42 percent of voters say they plan to cast a ballot for the Democrat running for Congress in their district. That’s compared with just 36 percent who favor the Republican candidate.

Those are the highest numbers for Democrats this year according to the poll, which is surprising because nearly half of respondents say they disapprove of the job Obama is doing.

On foreign policy, the president scored some of his lowest marks, averaging just 33 percent approval for his handling of recent conflicts in Ukraine, Iraq and Israel. Only a third of voters approve of how the president is handling immigration.

Despite those issues, Democrats are still picking up momentum heading into the fall; Election Day is Nov. 4, less than three months away.
