The 25th Annual Legislative Summit kicked off Wednesday morning with Capitol Hill lawmakers addressing the crowd.
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., the fourth ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, discussed the state of the Republican Party in the House.
Saying that while they didn't get the result they were looking for in the 2012 presidential election, it did allow the GOP time for soul searching.
"Sometimes Republicans," McMorris Rodgers says, "we feel comfortable doing small business round tables, which are good and important. We've got to reach beyond that.
