Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo said al Qaeda leaders' days are numbered, even though the terrorist group has weakened since the 9/11 attacks 16 years ago.

"Hunting the senior leaders has always been important," Fox News host Bret Baier said in an interview with Pompeo, released Monday. "Is there a hunt on the way for bin Laden's son?"

"Oh yes, sir," Pompeo replied.

"Daily?" Baier asked.

"Daily, every day," Pompeo said. "My team even as we sit here is working diligently to find them and bring them to justice." "Any positive signs?" Baier asked. "If I were them, I would count my days," Pompeo responded.

Pompeo also said the likelihood of a complex attack in the U.S. has decreased, to to the pressure the U.S. has placed on the terrorist group. Even so, Pompeo said threats of localized actors inspired or working alongside ISIS figures still exists.
