TV star: 419 anti-Trump interviews by Adam Schiff, 50 hours total

When Americans tune in to the afternoon House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Committee’s probe of special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, there will be one face they should be very familiar with: Chairman Adam Schiff.

Since President Trump moved into the White House, the California lawmaker has been a mainstay on TV, especially left-leaning cable shows, decrying the president and making allegations of Russian meddling on behalf of the Republican.

According to a Republican National Committee count, Schiff has been on TV talking Trump down practically every other day.

Since three days after Inauguration Day, Schiff has done 419 TV interviews totaling almost 50 hours (49:39:42 to be exact) “pushing the Russia hoax,” said an RNC official.

Trump and Schiff have spent two-and-a-half-years firing volleys at each other.

Most recently, Schiff was on Sunday’s Face The Nation on CBS and suggested Trump should be indicted after leaving office. He said:

“I mean, it’s been clear, you know, from Bob Mueller that he felt and the Justice Department feels bound by this Office of Legal Counsel opinion that you can’t indict a sitting president. But he is a — essentially unindicted co-conspirator. He’s been identified as an Individual One, as the person who directed Michael Cohen to commit this fraudulent campaign scheme. And I assume that all this means, in terms of the Southern District of New York, is that the case will be reopened when he leaves office, providing the statute of limitations has not run, and the Justice Department will have to weigh whether to indict the former president. From my point of view, if the evidence supports that, he should be indicted.”
