The White House disputed the suggestion that questions about President Trump's credibility from congressional leaders are hurting his agenda.
NBC's Hallie Jackson noted at Tuesday's White House briefing "there seems to be a trust deficit being created with some on Capitol Hill" and asked, "Is this what's hurting the president's legislative agenda? This credibility issue?"
"I think what's hurting the president's agenda is Congress' ability to get things passed," answered Sarah Sanders, White House press secretary, before attempting to pivot to another reporter's question.
When pressed about Trump's truthfulness, Sanders said Trump would continue to be "truthful and transparent as he has every single day."
