Donald Trump is on the hook for 17 milkshakes Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said he owes him as part of a deal the two men made for Trump's bailing from the network-sponsored debate Thursday.

During an interview Wednesday night, O'Reilly, acting like a mentor to political newcomer Trump said he would make him pay up if he followed through on a Tuesday promise to protest the debate due to a previous conflict with moderator Megyn Kelly.

"I bought you so many vanilla milkshakes, you owe me ... Come back, forgive, go forward, answer the questions, look out for the faults. You owe me milkshakes. I'll take them off the ledger if you consider it," O'Reilly told Trump.

Trump, visibly angry the host brought up his absence in the debate, pushed back, "Well even though you and I had an agreement that you wouldn't ask me that. .."

"You're actually telling the truth that I ..." O'Reilly interjected.

"I told you up front 'don't ask me that question," Trump said.

"But I'm not going to listen to any political person that says don't ask me anything," O'Reilly said. "But you're absolutely an honest man, I'll try not to do it but the milkshake thing overwhelmed me. I don't know any milkshakes under these circumstances."

Trump followed up with a punch at Kelly, "By the way this is much tougher, being with you — because frankly you're smarter — than doing the debate with Megyn Kelly."

"You owe me 17 milkshakes then and I want them," O'Reilly finished.
